Belly Dancing Fitness Workshop

Get ready to shimmy, shake, and smile in this high-energy Belly Dancing Fitness Workshop! This fun and empowering experience blends cardio and aerobic exercise with the expressive art of belly dance, creating a workout that feels more like a celebration than a class.

You’ll learn beginner-friendly belly dance fundamentals—think hip drops, shimmies, figure eights, and graceful arm patterns—broken down in a way that’s easy to follow and build confidence. New to indoor cycling?  This 90 minute cycling workshop is designed for beginners or anyone looking to refresh their skills in a supportive, low-pressure environment.  You’ll learn proper bike setup, riding positions, and essential cycling techniques with step by step guidance from an instructor.  The workshop includes hands-on instruction, with time for questions and will end with a short ride to practice your new skills.  By the end of the workshop, you’ll feel confident joining any of our full-intensity cycling classes.

Fluid Motion Fitness for Arthritis Workshop

Join us in our warm water pool for a fun, supportive way to move with less pain and more confidence. This arthritis-friendly class uses the natural resistance and buoyancy of warm water to help reduce joint pain and stiffness while supporting safe, low-impact movement.

Participants will work on maintaining or improving muscle strength, balance, and coordination through guided exercises designed to be gentle yet effective. Each session is led by a certified corrective exercise specialist who ensures movements are safe, adaptable, and appropriate for all ability levels.

All set to upbeat, enjoyable music that will keep you moving, motivated, and smiling the entire time, Fluid Motion Fitness is a great way to stay active, feel better, and connect with others in a welcoming small-group environment.

Your Summer Garden - Seed to Harvest

This class is for beginner to expert level gardeners who would like to either learn how to get their gardens in the shape for a successful and easy growing season, pick up some tips and tricks to add to their arsenal, or simply expand and grow their community while learning how to grow better veggies. We will be led by Sustainable Gardener Lexy Baird, so come with any garden related questions! We will have light refreshments.

Ready to prepare for the next growing season? Join us for this garden planning workshop that will guide you into a successful growing season. This workshop will include companion planting, plant spacing, garden mapping, and succession planting.

Plant and Seeding Swap May 1st 12pm to 4pm

Bring in any extra seeds, seedlings or plant babies that you’d like to trade with others and snag some extra starts to give your garden a head start! (This is the only Free Event in this series)

Knowing yourself and your garden’s needs – and maybe stocking up on some inventory – can make getting out to garden way simpler during the summer months. This workshop aims to address basic beginning of the season tasks, including: post winter soil assessment, weeding and mulching, watering hacks, plant protection, and fertilization needs.

Home Gardening Integrated Pest Management June 22nd 1-3 PM

What even is this bug?! Why are there tiny holes on my leaves? Why are these leaves yellow and curling? There are so many curiosities when it comes to analyzing pest management in our gardens. With an organically focused perspective, this workshop aims to provide tips and methods to preventing bug infestations and fungal cessation. We will also be trying to spot some pests in the Y garden!

Lexy Baird is a queer cultivator and creator of foods. She has been an avid home baker and cook since 2014. As a graduate from the Master of Food Studies program at Chatham University, Lexy has found passion in creating community through cooking. Her workshops bring forward preservation knowledge and a focus on the senses we use in the kitchen. Professionally, she works as a Sustainable Gardener and does everything from starting seeds, to growing produce and preserving it. She is also the owner of Cultivate & Create, which is a workshop forward business that help curious food lovers learn more about gardening and cooking.
