Capture the moment with a creative Time Capsule craft at the Sampson Family YMCA! Drop in and design a personal time capsule filled with memories, goals, and mementos to look back on in the future. This hands-on activity is a great way to reflect, dream, and have fun—perfect for individuals and families alike.

All materials are provided,. Stop by anytime during our morning or evening hours and make something meaningful to treasure for years to come!

Family Summer Kick-Off Night: Fun, Games, and Outdoor Adventures!

Celebrate the start of summer with our Family Summer Kick-Off Night! This fun-filled evening is packed with games, crafts, music, and outdoor yard activities designed for families to enjoy together. From creative arts and crafts to exciting outdoor games, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Get ready to let loose, laugh, and make memories as you participate in a variety of family-friendly activities, including lawn games, arts projects, and a dance party to kick off the season with great music. It’s the perfect way to embrace the summer vibes and spend quality time with your loved ones.

Get creative and add a splash of color to your summer wardrobe at our Tie-Dye Shirts event! Join us on Thursday, June 26 for a fun, hands-on activity open to YMCA members of all ages. We’ll provide all the dye and materials needed to create your own vibrant masterpiece—just bring your own clean, white cotton shirt to transform.

Whether you come in the morning or evening session, this is a great opportunity to express your creativity, spend time with family and friends, and take home a personalized piece of art you can wear!

What to Bring:

• A plain white shirt (100% cotton recommended)

Provided:

• Tie-dye materials and all the colors you’ll need

• Gloves and plastic bags for transporting your shirt

Join Sampson Family YMCA  Aquatics Staff for a night of fun and water safety education at the outdoor pool, to get everyone ready for a safe summer ahead.

Participate in a lifeguard scavenger hunt, play organized pool games, take your swim necklace test, learn what lifeguards have in their hip pack, learn about safety around water, and visit the snack bar.

Swim team coaches will also be on hand to do swim team tryouts and give perspective swimmers information on the team.

Parents will have the opportunity to learn about being a safe Water Watcher, and learn more about the Y’s water safety initiatives.

Children will have the opportunity to play organized pool games after they complete their swim necklace tests. The event will not be a free swim opportunity, but an opportunity to play fun games with the lifeguard staff, and learn about being safe at the pool.
