🍦 Sundaes & Sunshine: End of Year Celebration!

Let’s wrap up the year with a cherry on top! Join us at the Spencer Family YMCA for an evening of treats, tunes, and tosses. It’s the perfect way for families to celebrate the start of summer and burn off some of that “last day of school” energy.

What’s Happening?

• Build Your Sundae: We’re providing the scoops, and you’re providing the creativity! Load up your bowl with all your favorite toppings at our DIY sundae station.

• Groove & Move: Head over to the Sport Court where our instructors will lead a high-energy dance party designed just for kids. It’s exercise, but it feels like a celebration!

• The Big Splash: We’re heading outside to cool off with a classic water balloon toss. See how long you can keep your balloon intact before the inevitable splash!

• What to bring: Comfortable shoes for dancing and perhaps a towel (you might get a little wet during the balloon toss!).

Capture the memories at our Neon Photo Shoot—perfect for snapping fun, glowing family photos you’ll treasure. After all the action, cool down and treat yourself at our delicious ice cream sundae bar with all your favorite toppings.

It’s the perfect mix of fitness, fun, and family time—don’t miss this unforgettable glowing celebration!

Celebrate family, community, and lifelong skills with our Grown Up & Me Basketball Clinic! Build athletic skills and self-confidence in a supportive, coach-led environment. This event will focus on fundamental drills and creating a positive experience for all. Bring your little teammate and hoop with us!

Step into the longest day of the year with a grounding
yet energizing flow designed to awaken the body and
expand the breath. We’ll begin in stillness, drawing
awareness from the earth beneath you upward through
the body cultivating a sense of rooted light and steady
presence. As the practice builds, expect intentional
movement to generate heat, release stagnant energy,
and align with the expansive energy of the season.
This flow will balance strength and fluidity, oering
space for both eort and ease. We’ll close with a
deeply restorative savasana including a sound bath,
allowing the body to integrate and settle leaving you
feeling clear, open, and recharged.

We are establishing a Fruit Tree Orchard here at The Sampson Family YMCA and need your help! Join us as we undertake this exciting endeavor in collaboration with Tree Pittsburgh to plant a grove of Paw Paw, Persimmon, Cherry, Hazelnut, Asian Pear and Fig Trees. Once established the Orchard will be an exciting opportunity to welcome fresh fruit to our Teaching Kitchen and Healthy Living programs and for members old and young to experience nature in a new way as we welcome more birds and butterflies!

Registration is encouraged so we have all the help we need to establish the young trees in the ground.
